Description of the scope of education - Banking
Banking sector is the lifeblood of the modern economy – and we will explain you how it works! If you choose the Banking programme, you will learn how a bank functions as an entity on the financial market. You will learn what banking operations are, as well as get an insight into the banking law.
The subjects included in this module are also focused around the importance of supervisory institutions for the stability of the financial market, hence we will explain you the importance of banking supervision for the safety of the entire sector.
We also emphasise soft skills by pointing out the importance of bank products selling techniques.
What will you learn?
If you choose the Banking programme, you will acquire basic knowledge of how banking system and other financial institutions function. You will be qualified and prepared to work in the institutions where the demand for skilled workers is currently growing rapidly. Lectures and practical classes will familiarise you with the principles of functioning regarding banks, investment funds and other financial institutions and they will allow you to understand the basic financial operations carried out by these institutions.
During the course of your studies, you will learn the basic principles of analysing the economic and financial situation of borrowers and loan-granting procedures. You will also become familiar with the topic of insurance and other financial services targeted at businesses. Settlements on interbank markets will no longer be a mystery to you – we will show you how to exchange goods and services, make international capital movements and technology transfers.
