Objective
The objective of this study programme is to develop skills related to the administration of Microsoft Windows server systems installed locally or in the cloud. Some of the classes will help you to prepare for the MCSA certification: Windows Server 2016.
Benefits
Classes are conducted in modern laboratories at WSZiB, and are based on the resources prepared by experienced trainers. The students receive a diploma of completion of postgraduate studies (a copy in Polish and in English).
Curriculum
- Server Infrastructure | 40 hours
Installation of server system and creation of disk image-based installations; selection and configuration of data storage; installation, configuration and management of virtual systems; overview of high access solutions; installation of system updates; performance monitoring and optimisation. - Foundations of computer networks with elements of security| 30 hours
The objective of the course is to provide students with knowledge and skills in the field of local computer networks. IPv4, IPv6 network protocols will be discussed and configured along with implementation of VLANs with routing and access list elements. Additionally, we will discuss security problems in Layer 2: MAC Flooding, DHCP, IP/MAC Spoofing. - Network Services | 30 hours
Management of IPv4 / IPv6 stack in an operating system; installation and configuration of DHCP and DNS server; address space management using IPAM; providing remote access to systems; implementing remote access to disk resources; introduction to Software Defined Networks. - Directory Services and Identity Management | 40 hours
Introduction to directory services; installation and configuration of domain controllers; managing users, groups and system accounts; managing multiple locations, replication and trust relationships; implementing Group Policy; introduction to cryptography; installation and configuration of CAs (Certification Authority); certificate management. - Introduction to Cloud Services | 20 hours
Presentation of a distributed cloud system; deployment and monitoring of Websites and Cloud Services; building and configuring virtual machines; managing virtual networks; supporting data storage mechanisms.
