The IT studies at The School of Banking and Management in Cracow make it possible for you to gain solid knowledge owing to the presence of faculty who are highly qualified in the fields of software engineering, algorithms and data structure, computer networks as well as the development of complex IT systems. Completing my degree at The School of Banking and Management has made a great career start possible for me.

During the last year of my studies for an Engineering degree I already started my first job as a programmer for SoftwareMind. I gained knowledge and skills which proved indispensable in my successful pursuit of a Masters degree with honors in the IT studies at the AGH University of Science and Technology in Cracow (Department of Electrical Engineering, Control Engineering, IT and Electronics). In addition to this, during my Masters degree studies I wrote a thesis and an academic article which was presented at the Cracow Grid Workshop ’08 conference. Furthermore, during Masters studies I started working as a senior programmer for VSoft.

Currently I am working for Motorola, which enables me to grow as an expert on software engineering and fulfill my career goals, using the skills that
I have obtained primarily during my IT studies at The School of Banking and Management in Cracow.

I have very nice memories from The School of Banking and Management. IT studies that I have completed there have given me thorough foundations and prepared me to a further quest for knowledge. The most valuable thing was the opportunity to learn from both the highly competent, diverse faculty as well as my fellow students.

I started my professional career almost immediately after a successful defense of my Engineering thesis. The knowledge I gained during my studies at The School of Banking and Management has enabled me to actively contribute to the development of the team I was part of. All this have translated into various promotions and strengthening of my professional position within the next few years.

IT studies at The School of Banking and Management are a serious alternative to public universities: while the academic level is similar, the administration at The School of Baking and Management operates in a much more efficient manner.

Why did I choose The School of Banking and Management? Before making the decision, I had analyzed rankings of Polish universities published by “Rzeczpospolita” and “Polityka” magazines. In those rankings, The School of Banking and Management occupied one of the highest positions. The choice I made has proven to be the right one. I have been very happy with the School’s curriculum and the style of instruction. All this has also caused my sister Karolina to enroll in The School of Banking and Management three years later.

Everything that I learned during Management and Marketing studies has been helpful to me while running WIMARK Sp. z o.o. – a family’s firm (and part of the WIMED Group) that specializes in horizontal road marking.

I remember The School of Banking and Management as a place focused on the student; a place where young people’s views are respected. The school has a highly developed IT system, which proves helpful in the student’s everyday relationship with the school. But the most important thing to me was the innovative form of lectures combined with practical activities instead of lectures that merely summarize the textbook material. During my time at the school I met a number of interesting people, and I am still in touch with some of them. The knowledge I gained at the school made an easier career start possible for me.

I can recommend The School of Banking and Management to all the young people who aspire to a successful career.

Looking back, I can state that enrolling in The School of Banking and Management in Cracow was the right choice. Studying there definitely helped me to obtain a stock broker’s license. It was during my studies at The School of Banking and Management when I became acquainted with some of the material I had to master in order to pass the national stock broker’s exam. This has significantly contributed to my success. In addition to this, the professors – always willing to share their knowledge and experience – were very helpful to me. All these factors enabled me to fulfill my dream of becoming a licensed stock broker. Currently I am working in one of the brokerage houses in Cracow. I am positive that to a large degree I owe it to The School of Banking and Management.

I think that The School of Banking and Management can be described by four words.

KNOWLEDGE, because the knowledge passed onto the students is reliable, substantial and presented in a way that is attractive and appealing to the students.

RESPECT, because I have never encountered a faculty member behaving unkindly; faculty have always been nice and eager to talk or help with any potential problems.

FRIENDS, because it was at The School of Banking and Management where I met some of the most interesting people in my life; today they are still my friends.

SECURITY
, because one can feel secure having a diploma from one of the best private schools in the country.
I think that choosing The School of Banking and Management was the perfect thing to do, and I can highly recommend it.

P.S. I am making more and more use of the knowledge I gained at The School of Banking and Management in order to facilitate the development of WIBLASK – a family’s firm (and part of the WIMED Group) that supplies reflecting elements.

I have the pleasure to be among the alumni of The School of Banking and Management in Cracow. As an alumnus who is already pursuing her professional career, I can state that my choice of both the university and the course of study was entirely right.

For over ten years I have been working in the local government of the Cracow municipality. Currently I am the head of the Communal Infrastructure and Transport Department in Cracow. My studies at The School of Banking and Management allowed me to enrich my previous knowledge and practical experience by modern theoretical, university-level knowledge. During my studies I gained a solid understanding of management instruments and methodology, analysis and evaluation of economic processes and business practice. All this is very useful to me in running an organization in a quite difficult free-market reality, achieving the tasks that this organization is charged with, shaping its public relations as well as stimulating the energy and creativity of my co-workers. Theoretical preparation – the development of which have been undoubtedly aided by the knowledge I obtained at The School of Banking and Management – has contributed to all my professional achievements. Thus, I can fully recommend The School of Banking and Management to all the young people who plan to engage in post-high school education, have talent and ability as well as strong motivation to expand their knowledge and skills related to the broadly defined field of economics.

My name is Elżbieta Titis and I am a second-year Master’s student at The School of Banking and Management in Cracow (Department of Management). I have been at this school for over five years, as I have also obtained Bachelor’s degree with honors from the Sociology Department. The decision to continue with my studies at The School of Banking and Management was a no-brainer. The school has created the most favorable environment for me to develop my knowledge and skills. Here I have met a number of fantastic professors (not only at my department), who demonstrated plenty of support and kindness during my time at the school. This was a major factor that enabled me to get an academic scholarship and Rector’s Motivational Scholarship not long after the beginning of my studies. Later I also received several external distinctions: The Minister of Science and Higher Education Scholarship (twice) and Sapere Auso Scholarship. Receiving a social scholarship from the school already during my freshman year was also extremely helpful, as it enabled me to pay the tuition during all of my years at the school.

Receiving an award in the national Aleksander Gudzowaty Contest for the best Bachelor’s thesis related to the broadly defined field of business was the pinnacle of my studies at The School of Banking and Management. Currently I am participating in an international student exchange which is a part of the Erasmus Programme; I am working on an independent research project at the University of Manchester. I would like to dedicate all of my professional achievements to The School of Banking and Management – a place to which I owe a lot. I have seen for myself that students are truly respected at The School of Banking and Management, and that they can receive extraordinary mentorship there. Happily and without any doubt I can recommend The School of Banking and Management to anyone who – just like me – strives for personal and professional growth. .

I associate studying at The School of Banking and Management primarily with highly qualified faculty, who are always willing to help students with various projects. It is the kindness of the people who work here that makes studying IT enjoyable and enables the students to achieve great results.

For me, studying at The School of Banking and Management was an opportunity to develop thorough theoretical and practical knowledge in the field of finance and accounting. This knowledge makes it possible for me now to effectively construct and manage both soft projects and investment projects funded by the European Union.

The school creates various opportunities for academic involvement (e.g. publications, conferences) which help the students to take their academic careers to a PhD level. For several years I have been working as an editor of the student newspaper “Multis Multum”; it was an invaluable experience.

My memories from The School of Banking and Management are very positive owing to the pleasant atmosphere of the place and excellent student-faculty cooperation, but also because of wonderful fellow students.

Perfectly devised curricula, very high academic level and top-notch technical infrastructure enabled me to gain knowledge necessary to complete my degree without major problems and excessive stress. This knowledge also proves to be valuable in my professional career. Thus, I am very proud to recommend The School of Banking and Management to all potential students.

The School of Banking and Management in Cracow is a progressive, dynamic educational institution with an attractive course offer. I chose it due to the the practical aspects of academic courses carried out by prominent faculty.

During my studies, fine management of the school as well as personal approach to the student were of particular significance to me. These factors enabled me to pursue my professional career and study at the same time. Working as the mayor of Wieliczka nowadays, I am skillfully using the knowledge I gained during my EU Funds Management studies. Today, Wieliczka hosts several projects important to its development as a city (e.g. revitalization, sewage system, integrated public transport system), using more than 100 million PLN from EU funds. Ability to plan properly is one of the key skills I developed at The School of Banking and Management.

A pleasant atmosphere, student body comprised of people – from various circles – interested in business and local government as well as the opportunity to fulfill one’s interests are all things that I associate with my studies at The School of Banking and Management in Cracow.

I have been working for Sobiesław Zasada Group since graduating from high school in December 1995. My professional career has been quite dynamic, as I covered nearly all of the steps of my career path in a 16-year period. As a 21-year-old I was made the head of Spare Parts Department in Mercedes. Then, at the age of 27 I was appointed to head one of HSK Data branches. After turning 31, I became the president and the CEO of a newly created company: HSK Auto – the dealer of Seat brand and distributor of two large German companies. Currently I am working as the president of HSK Auto and a general partner in Elcamp. I am also a board member of a company operating in the sulfur business.

I recall The School of Banking and Management with a very positive sentiment, and I have a huge respect for the place. I decided to study there approximately halfway through my business career, figuring out that – in spite of a great deal of professional experience – I was lacking theoretical expertise. Having examined numerous schools and courses of study, I eventually chose Management and Marketing at The School of Banking and Management. In retrospect, I am really happy with that decision. I chose The School of Banking and Management because of its modern infrastructure and highly competent faculty with experience in business in addition to academic qualifications.

The academic level of the lectures was really high. The lectures often included case studies, which equipped me with the type of knowledge that I could use in my professional career. The curriculum was adjusted to the current economic situation and business trends. Faculty members were open to questions and discussions of various kinds, while the atmosphere in the dean’s office and among the university authorities was particularly friendly to the student.

With hindsight, I can state that my professional career would not have been possible had I not studied at The School of Banking and Management. I can recommend the school to anyone who wants to understand how business works, desires a truly practical education based on solid foundations and would like to study in comfortable conditions and a pleasant atmosphere. I have already recommended The School of Banking and Management to a number of people and will continue to do so, as I remain very happy with my time at the school.
